6 Insights to Attract More Customers to the Local Store

I was happy to visit one of my favorite cities – Krakow and have some insights for local stores which are focused on offline lead generation.
Walking down the most crowded tourist route, the Grodska street, I noticed that many stores don’t follow, seems to me elementarily and obvious rules for attracting customers to the store – I compared the souvenir stores. The short list of insights above may help out with it.
1. Prepare facade of your building. It is the face of your business and it should be super brilliant clean and friendly welcome, especially when it comes to touristic business. Keep windows clean, paint elements of the facade (if it looks old and you have an opportunity to paint it).
2. Do not overwrite text on windows. Just as an example above, text here is not valuable for tourists.

It hides the showcase and looks repulsive. The font of your text plays its role, as well as lighting, and simplicity. If you want to attract people you can place an outdoor signage with information that you want to tell.
3. Offline retention. The more visitors in your store the more interest from people from the street, it’s behavior pattern. So you may think how you can keep stay people longer in your store – increase the range of products, rent a bigger space, add personality to your products (a short storytelling to push people to read it), friendly staff that can keep the conversation or any ideas you have in mind.
4. The rules of merchandising. It’s not a secret that it plays a huge role in sales. Plan your customer’s route, keep your products in the right order, don’t group more than 5 different products together, put new products first, place the signs. You can read some books and articles about retail merchandising.
5. Holidays and events is another reason for adding new thematic products, special discounts or change the style of your store. Be creative here, making a “wow effect” – sell the emotions, not products.
6. Paid Ads. You may still use paid ads to attract prospects to your store, Google Ads or Facebook have great opportunities to set up the campaign for offline store visits but you need to think about your offer.
